FAQ
How can I purchase the same car cheaper from Europe?
European Commission legislation allows the purchase of cars from Europe since 1995 but has been little publicised.

What complications could there be in buying from Europe?
Manufacturers and UK dealers do not encourage your purchase outside of the U.K. – we are here to help you clarify and overcome the obstacles.

My car is to U.K. specification – isn’t it?
Yes - remember manufacturers make cars for all markets normally from one or more factories – they know what is required for the UK specification when your car is in production. The car is then delivered with a certificate of conformity from the manufacturer ensuring correct specification and without this the car cannot be registered as new. The only decision you have to make is choosing the options to be fitted to your car.

Will I get problems with warranty and service work?
No - EC standards dictate all cars produced should have at least 1-year warranty from the factory. This can be extended in most cases at your local dealer for up to three years or a mechanical insurance policy can be purchased.
Dealers are normally keen to keep their workshops busy and have are obligated by the manufacturer to undertake warranty and service work to your vehicle.

Can I finance my purchase?
Yes – most finance houses prefer to finance your car through a normal hire purchase scheme, but with the many customers opting out of the company car, Personal Contract Plans are becoming more popular.

What do I do next and how does it work?
We will provide a formal quotation to you, which include the cost of any agreed optional extras. This then forms the basis of an agreement with you, which when signed will effectively appoint us as your agent and the purchase of your car is activated. With this document, the manufacturer will require a deposit normally between 10% and 20% - this is paid directly to them.

An indication of delivery date will have already been given and normally three weeks before delivery of your car, we will arrange of the remaining balance to be paid and start the UK vehicle registration and road fund licence process. Customs and Excise are notified within 7 days of the cars’ arrival into the U.K. and the relevant VAT is paid. Only when all this is in place is registration process be completed.

We are here to ensure the whole process is smooth and uncomplicated and we undertake to keep you up to date with all development as they happen.
